Editorial policies
The policies, processes, and ethical commitments that govern publication in CJES. These follow COPE Core Practices and the DOAJ Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing.
Open access policy
All CJES articles are published in full open access — no embargo, no reading fees, free to read, download, and reuse with attribution.
Peer review process
All research and review articles undergo double-blind peer review by at least two independent external reviewers. Reviewer and author identities are hidden from each other throughout.
Publication ethics
CJES adheres to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Core Practices and Code of Conduct across every aspect of publication, with a strong commitment to research integrity, transparency, and accountability.
Plagiarism and research integrity
Every submitted manuscript is screened for textual overlap. Plagiarism — in any form — leads to immediate desk rejection and may trigger further institutional action.
Digital preservation and archiving
CJES articles are preserved across multiple independent dark and light archives to guarantee long-term access, even if the journal ceases publication.
AI and large language model use
CJES welcomes the transparent use of AI tools in research and writing, but requires human accountability for all published content. AI is never an author.
