ORCID linking

Completed reviews are automatically pushed to your ORCID profile if you opt in. Reviews appear as a "Peer Review Activity" entry while maintaining double-blind confidentiality — the record shows that you reviewed for CJES on a given date but not the manuscript identity. This creates a verified, portable record of your peer-review service.

Annual certificates

CJES issues digital annual certificates summarising the number of completed reviews and overall quality (per editor assessment). Certificates can be used in CVs, tenure dossiers, and award applications — they are signed by the Editor-in-Chief and carry the journal's seal.

Annual reviewer list

Reviewers may opt-in to be acknowledged by name in the annual list of reviewers, published in the December issue. The list has its own DOI, making it citable and discoverable — your name is permanently linked to the journal's peer-review record.

Web of Science Reviewer Recognition

CJES participates in Web of Science Reviewer Recognition (formerly Publons). Completed reviews are submitted to your Reviewer Recognition profile if you opt in, providing verified, cross-publisher recognition that travels with your academic career.

Outstanding Reviewer awards

Each year, CJES recognises three Outstanding Reviewers based on the quality and volume of their reviews. The award includes a citation, a plaque, and public acknowledgement in the December issue. Editors-in-Chief and Associate Editors are not eligible.
